Excellent all round camera.. I love this camera. I use Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP for taking short films of my son's fencing matches. The camera records video in mpg format so most video editing software works well with the the camera.
The battery life is great I have never had Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP fail me during use. I do carry a spare but have yet to need it.
A 4 Gig memory chip will hold about 5 minutes worth of video or Heaven knows how many pictures.
The panorama feature is fun. You take a picture and Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP highlights the right hand edge. line Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP up with the next picture you want to take in the series and click away. I've done 180 degrees but might try 360 just for fun.
If I had to come up with a defect Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP would be the rounded edges of the camera. Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP is designed to stand on the right end, but Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP is less than stable. I keep Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP in the case because the only way to put Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP down would be on it's back, screen side down, begging for a scratch - or worse.
Worst Canon Camera EVER!!. I barely used my canon in the 2 months that I owned it. Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP worked fine for the 2 months Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP was used. However,the pictures were not very crisp. I went to use my camera at an indoor party and Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP would not focus. I thought maybe Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP was the lighting. I tried Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP when I got home and Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP still would not focus. Best Buy refunded my money and now I am researching cameras once again. I would definitely keep looking!!!
Grainy, Grainy, Grainy. I had read alot of the reviews. I have a sd800is and love it. In fact, incredible sharp pictures. But wanted the screen and wheel of the sd880is. I saw the reviews which said grainy, but thought for sure I wouldn't get the camera with the bad optics or electronics or whatever Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP is that is making a percentage of these cameras turn out grainy pics. I can't emphasize enough: Buyer beware.
